The newly completed Terengganu State Water Sports Complex (KOMSAT) is being utilised as a hub for water sports activities in the East Coast state.<\/i><\/b><\/center><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

KUALA TERENGGANU \u2013<\/strong> In a continued effort to strengthen the transformation of the Rakan Muda programme, particularly in bridging gaps among rural youth in the East Coast, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), through the Terengganu State Youth and Sports Department (JBSNT), has organised a total of 29 activities in conjunction with the state-level Fiesta Rakan Muda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-day programme, which started yesterday at the Terengganu State Water Sports Complex (KOMSAT) in Pulau Duyong, adopts a carnival-style approach aimed at expanding youth participation and engagement across diverse segments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E-sports is also among the key attractions, drawing participation from various age groups to enliven the Fiesta Rakan Muda Terengganu 2026 held at the same venue.<\/i><\/b><\/center><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Visitors are also taking part in fitness challenges, one of the 29 programme highlights featured throughout the two-day event at KOMSAT.<\/i><\/b><\/center><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In addition to sports activities, community programmes are also being held, including free haircuts offered to all visitors regardless of background.<\/i><\/b><\/center><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

JBSNT Terengganu Director, Asmadi Mohamad, said the programme was designed as a comprehensive initiative encompassing the 10 lifestyle pillars under the Rakan Muda framework, which is currently undergoing rebranding since its introduction in 1994.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that the initiative also serves as a unifying platform for youth, associations and local clubs that have long required a more inclusive space to actively participate and collaborate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThrough this approach, we are able to provide broader opportunities for young people to showcase their talents and potential, while ensuring no one is left behind in the state\u2019s youth development agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe programme content, which spans sports, creative expression and character-building activities, also offers early exposure to younger participants, particularly students,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, the involvement of various government agencies in the programme is expected to further strengthen community engagement while fostering closer ties between youth and the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
